You need a suitable software like iMovie to open a CED file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. 7% of all CED files start with the magic bytes 19 00 01 00 50 00 00 00 04 03, which are always the first bytes of this file format. These files contain neither text nor words, but only data. The files are often between 850 bytes and 900 bytes in size.
