All about HSF Files

File extension: HSF

What is an HSF file?

HSF files mostly belong to HOOPS Visualize by TechSoft 3D. A HSF file contains a description of the graphical elements in a 2D/3D scene or model saved in HOOPS Stream format. A single HSF file stores a 3D scene's description as binary data which may be transferred across multiple programs without eating up bandwidth. TechSoft's computer-aided design programs such as HOOPS EXCHANGE and HOOPS VISUALIZE are the primary programs for creating and viewing a HSF 3D scene. Another type of HSF file contains protected web content that is verified and then encrypted using HTML Security website content protection software.

How to open HSF files

You need a suitable software like HOOPS Visualize to open an HSF file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your HSF file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a HSF file directly in the browser:. Just drag the file onto this browser window and drop it.

HSF file format:

Each file has a definite file format, that is, how the stored data is arranged in the file. The first characters in a file identify the file format, for example, HTML files start with the bytes <html>. However, different programs can use the same file extension, and file extensions can be assigned incorrectly. So a detailed analysis of a file is vital in order to determine the format and the associated program. Our evaluation of the HSF files looks like this:

The HSF file extension is quite widespread and includes different formats for the applicable programs. But the following two file formats are common:

The remaining 15% of all HSF files are files with no common format, the following 6 formats can be found: Hudson Soft game data, HDAS and STOR. Tagged as project, shizhuyuan, constvisc, vorticity, settings, biwets, kmere, qvvvv, data, user or xmdl. Drag & drop your file here to see the file format and a preview of your HSF file!

How to solve problems with HSF files

  • Associate the HSF file extension with the correct application.
  • Update your software that should actually open 2d/3d scenes. Because only the current version supports the latest HSF file format. Search, therefore, e.g. on the TechSoft 3D manufacturer website after an available HOOPS Visualize update.
  • To make sure that your HSF file is not corrupted or virus-infected, get the file again and scan it with Google's virustotal.com.
  • Click here to open your .HSF file online - secure, fast, and no downloads needed.
