What is an MC file

• 45% of all MC files use the same file format, which have the signature RCCM. If you open these files in a text editor, you will see only illegible characters. Certain words are almost always found in the files, such as [M2] (golly, [Main], ADD1, ADD2, ADDI, #R B3/S23, FETCH2, NAND1 and NAND2. A usual file name is microcode.mc.

All other MC files (50%) have different formats, such as UTF-8, XML, GIF, JSON, Copyright, FOR, MolecularConstructor, MASCHINENTYP, File, mar and WindowsWidth.
