Opening PDATA Files
The PDATA file type is primarily associated with IDA Pro.
What is a PDATA file?

How to open PDATA files
You need a suitable software like IDA Pro to open a PDATA file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your PDATA file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a PDATA file directly in the browser:. Just drag the file onto this browser window and drop it.

Programs that open and convert PDATA files:
- IDA Pro
See the previous paragraphs to learn more about the main application. PDATA files are often referred to as IDA Pro developers because this type of file is primarily created or used by this software.
- JSim (Pretty Data Format) by University of WashingtonJSim is a Java-based simulation system for building quantitative numeric models and analyzing them with respect to experimental reference data. JSim's primary focus is in physiology and biomedicine, however its computational engine is quite general and applicable to a wide range of scientific domains. JSim models may intermix ODEs, PDEs, implicit equations, integrals, summations, discrete events and procedural code as appropriate. JSim's model compiler can automatically insert conversion factors for compatible physical units as well as detect and reject unit unbalanced equations. JSim also imports the SBML and CellML model archival formats. JSim should not be confused with J-Sim (formerly known as JavaSim). Related links: JSim Data Sets Page
PDATA format details:
A file format defines how the data in the file is structured. The file format can be deduced from the file extension and the signature. If the file extension does not match the file format, double-clicking on the file will cause an error upon opening. When there is a problem with a file, the first step to solving it is to determine the file format. Our evaluation of the PDATA files looks like this:
The PDATA file extension is used by different programs with different formats. However, the following two file formats are common:
- 30% of all PDATA files use the same file format, which can be identified by the letters "00 10 00 00" at the beginning. These files contain neither text nor words, but only data. The files are often between 3 KB and 210 KB in size. It is a modern file type. An example of a file name is .pdata or pdata..
- 10% of all PDATA files start with the bytes 10 10 00 00 crucial for this file format. They consist of illegible, cryptic characters. PDATA files are between 1 KB and 120 KB in size. A common filename is .pdata or pdata..
The remaining 60% of all PDATA files are different files with different signatures, the following 6 formats exist: PDATA. These files are often connected to placeholder, playerdata, provider, objects, restore, active or backup. Drag & drop your file here to see the file format and a preview of your PDATA file!
Technical Data for PDATA File Extension
a pdata binary file is a special file format and should only be edited and saved with the appropriate software.
How to solve problems with PDATA files
- Associate the PDATA file extension with the correct application.
- Update your software that should actually open binary files. Because only the current version supports the latest PDATA file format. Search, therefore, e.g. on the manufacturer website after an available IDA Pro update.
- To make sure that your PDATA file is not corrupted or virus-infected, get the file again and scan it with Google's virustotal.com.
- Click here to open your .PDATA file online - secure, fast, and no downloads needed.
