What is a PFB file?

PFB files mostly belong to Type Manager by Adobe. A PFB file is a PostScript Type 1 font used by Type Manager font management program and PostScript printers. The contents of a PFB file are stored as binary data. This format was mainly used on classic Windows operating system. PFB fonts are now deprecated and Type Manager has been discontinued.

How to open a PFB file

You need a suitable software like Type Manager to open a PFB file. A little tip: If you rename the file extension to .zip and then double-click, you will see the included files and images. The file size is in the range of 21 MB to 170 MB. Several words can almost always be found in the files, e.g. RLM-HBI v3, RLM/all.pck, 0x00000000, AL v1, can_modules, info, 0x000052, <PositecFw> and 0x00000294.
