RVD files mostly belong to RVD2Viewer. An RVD file is not a single format. Its purpose depends on its source.

How to open RVD files

You need a suitable software like RVD2Viewer to open an RVD file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. RVD file format:

Every file has a defined file format, i.e. how the data is arranged in the file. The file format can be determined based on the file extension and the signature (the first few characters of a file). If the file extension does not match the file format, double-clicking on the file will cause an error upon opening. Knowledge is power - this also applies when dealing with unknown or faulty files. The RVD file extension is not widely used. Such a file includes different formats for different programs. The following file formats are most commonly found in RVD files:

• 45% of all RVD files have the same signature [Setting] [. If you open these files in a text editor, you can view and read the content yourself. The file size is in the range of 930 bytes to 50 KB. It is a modern file type. Certain words are almost always found in the files, such as [Setting], Overload Current ACC, Off, [VA-12], Overload Current DISP, Off, Overload Current VEL, Off, Overload Current, Off, Overload Result, Off, Analysis Mode, FFT and Data Type, Velocity. A common filename is MAN_0001.RVD or MAN_0002.RVD. Such RVD files store data about manual.
• 15% of all RVD files are associated with Raster-Vector Hybrid Drawing. The content consists of illegible binary data, which can only be read and interpreted by the associated programs. The average file size is 180 KB with most files being between 64 KB and 950 KB in size. The files contain the following words: Preview, VP-RVD and Colors. These files are often associated with complex, marutadu, layout, general, floor and plan.
