All about SFP Files
The SFP file type is primarily associated with HP LaserJet.
What is an SFP file?
Compressed Forms Archive: Other SFP files are ZIP-compressed archives that contain Sage 50 Forms data. You can often rename the file to .ZIP and extract its contents with a standard archive tool.
EEG Sensor Data: In some cases, SFP files record EEG sensor positions. This type of file is used by systems like EGI NetStation to map electrode locations. For details, visit EGI.
Animation Data: There are also SFP files used for Spriter animation projects. These files integrate with game tools such as Game Maker Studio 2 to save sprite and animation information.
Automation Project Files: Additionally, some SFP files belong to Sigmatek automation projects and contain drive or configuration data. More information is available at Sigmatek.
Key points to note:
How to open an SFP file
You need a suitable software like HP LaserJet to open an SFP file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your SFP file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a SFP file directly in the browser:. Just drag the file onto this browser window and drop it.

Programs that open and convert SFP files:
- HP LaserJet
See the previous paragraphs to learn more about the main application. SFP files are often referred to as HP LaserJet fonts because this type of file is primarily created or used by this software.
- LaserJet Portrait Font
- Ventura Printer Font
SFP file extension format:
The file format determines how the data is stored in the file. The first characters in a file identify the file format, for example, HTML files start with the bytes <html>. However, different programs can use the same file extension. Furthermore, a file extension can be renamed incorrectly and double-clicking on it will then display an error when it is opened. When there is a problem with a file, the first step to solving it is to determine the file format. Our analysis of the SFP files produces the following result:
As a file extension, SFP isn't very common and includes different formats for different programs. The following file formats are most commonly found in SFP files:
- 25% of all SFP files use the ZIP format, multiple files are compressed and combined into one SFP file. The included 3 to 6 files have file names such as SEFIPCR.RE, hash.txt and selo.xml. Tip: If you rename the file ending to .zip and then double-click it, you see the included files and images. The files are often between 1 KB and 14 KB in size. Several words can almost always be found in the files, e.g. SEFIPCR.RE.
- 20% of all SFP files are LaserJet Soft Font files. These files are binary files, so they do not contain text, but only cryptic characters. The files are 3 KB to 30 KB in size, with a median of 9 KB.
All other SFP files (55%) have different formats, such as FidNz and Sig. Files like these are sometimes linked to hydro, electrodes, electrode, average, spinny, adult or text. You can get all the details of your SFP file by dragging it onto this page or by clicking the button "Choose your .sfp file to analyze" above.
Technical Data for SFP File Extension

an sfp font file is a special file format and should only be edited and saved with the appropriate software.
How to solve problems with SFP files
- Associate the SFP file extension with the correct application.
- Update your software that should actually open font files. Because only the current version supports the latest SFP file format. Search, therefore, e.g. on the manufacturer website after an available HP LaserJet update.
- To make sure that your SFP file is not corrupted or virus-infected, get the file again and scan it with Google's virustotal.com.
- Click here to open your .SFP file online - secure, fast, and no downloads needed.
