All about TSD Files
The TSD file type is primarily associated with ArubaSign.
What is a TSD file?
For example, some TSD files are Time Stamped Data files. These are used to store digital certificates and the time when a document was signed. Companies such as ArubaSign make these files, and one version is even noted as a Firma Digitale Aruba file. You can see more details at pec.it.
Other TSD files serve different roles. They can be used to record time series data, which logs measurements such as sensor readings or body composition data (as seen with TSDEditor).
They may also contain tab-separated text data used in data analysis, voice chat data (like data from Discord), navigation map data for programs like TomTom Navigator (TomTom), or even browser tab session data held in a JSON format.
Some specialized versions handle test data, text-to-speech dictionaries, and even PKCS#7 digital signatures for signed PDF documents.
FilExt.com note: Each version of a TSD file is structured according to its purpose. It is important to know which software created the file to decide which program to use for opening and viewing it.
How do you open TSD files?
You need a suitable software like ArubaSign to open a TSD file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your TSD file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a TSD file directly in the browser:. Just drag the file onto this browser window and drop it.

Programs that open and convert TSD files:
- ArubaSign
See the previous paragraphs to learn more about the main application. TSD files are often referred to as ArubaSign data files because this type of file is primarily created or used by this software.
- Tamino Schema Editor(Creation and Change Tamino XML Schema Definitions)
TSD file extension format:
To find out what program is needed to open TSD files, you need to determine the file format. The file format can be deduced from the file extension and the signature. However, different programs can use the same file extension, and file extensions can be assigned incorrectly. Exact knowledge of the format is therefore important in order to solve problems occurring in files. Our evaluation of the TSD files is as follows:
The TSD file extension is quite common and includes different formats for different programs. But the following two file formats are common:
- 35% of all TSD files are Time Stamped Data files, which are using the popular certificate file format. A digital certificate is a unique, digitally signed document which authoritatively identifies the identity of an individual or organization. Using public key cryptography, its authenticity can be verified to ensure that the software or website you are using is legitimate. These files contain neither text nor words, but only data. The files are often between 7 KB and 520 KB in size. This file type is new and state-of-the-art. Certain words are almost always found in the files, such as application/pkcs7-mime, <pdv>, <rdv>, <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?> and PDF-1. Such files are related to signed, contratto, convenzione, allegato, firmato and vendita.
- 8% of all TSD files start with the magic bytes 82 1E B3 A2 09 00, which are always the first bytes of this file format. The content consists of illegible binary data, which can only be read and interpreted by the associated programs. Most of these files are 20 KB to 1 MB in size.
All other TSD files (57%) have different formats, frequently e.g. TSD encrypted data, certificate, JSON, ZIP, CXOS, Trimble and DST. They are often associated with tabssaver, discord, voice, event, acceptance, config, design, kdtree, local, ticon or atto. If you want to find out which format your TSD file belongs to, just click on the button "Choose your .tsd file to analyze".

How to solve problems with TSD files
- Associate the TSD file extension with the correct application.
- Update your software that should actually open data files. Because only the current version supports the latest TSD file format. Search, therefore, e.g. on the manufacturer website after an available ArubaSign update.
- To make sure that your TSD file is not corrupted or virus-infected, get the file again and scan it with Google's virustotal.com.
- Click here to open your .TSD file online - secure, fast, and no downloads needed.
