Opening CSA Files
The CSA file type is primarily associated with PNA Code.
What is a CSA file?
- Main Usage: They are called CSA files because they store content with details encoded in the Calset specified format. The CSA files primarily store the measurement information the user enters in the Agilent PNA Code.
- Associations:
- Star Stable Online Game Archive: Here, the CSA extension is used as a Game Archive by a horse adventure game call Star Stable online. It contains multiple data files related to the game, including OME, OTE and PCO files. These CSA files are compresses and encrypted to prevent and modifications in the file as well as reduce its size. The CSA files are not directly opened, but are actually referenced by the game to load the content.
- Macropool: The CSA file stores document archives and data for the web research software developed by Macropool.
How to open a CSA file
You need a suitable software like PNA Code to open a CSA file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your CSA file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a CSA file directly in the browser:. Just drag the file onto this browser window and drop it.

CSA file format details:
The file format, which is the arrangement and type of data in a file, determines which program can open the file. The file format can be deduced from the file extension and the signature. If the file extension or signature does not match the file format, errors will occur when opening or editing the file. So you need a detailed analysis of a file to find out the format and the associated program. In the following you will find our evaluation of the CSA files:
CSA is one of the most common file extensions and includes a lot of different file formats for different programs. But the following two file formats are common:
- 15% of all CSA files have the same signature A4 03. The content consists of illegible binary data, which can only be read and interpreted by the associated programs. The files are often between 100 bytes and 24 KB in size. This file type is based on cutting-edge technology. Files like these are sometimes connected to gtasa, carboost, regen, gasoline and phone.
- 10% of all CSA files are based on the well-known UTF-16 (LE) file format. UTF-16 (LE) is an character encoding system for Unicode. UTF-16 files can be viewed in any modern text editor. These files start with the two bytes FF FE, the so called byte order mark (BOM). If you open these files in a text editor, you will see only illegible characters. The files are on average 75 KB in size and range from 23 KB to 400 KB. The files contain the following words: Agilent, Technologies and Version.
All other CSA files (75%) have different formats, often e.g. Compute Shaders Archive, GEEK, Idle, RAPID and IncludeStaticFile. Often described as loader, stockfish, trainer, skybox, fairy, weapon or lima. Just click the "Choose your .csa file to analyze" button on this page to find out what your CSA file is.

How to solve problems with CSA files
- Associate the CSA file extension with the correct application.
- Update your software that should actually open instrument state and calibration data files. Because only the current version supports the latest CSA file format. Search, therefore, e.g. on the Keysight manufacturer website after an available PNA Code update.
- To make sure that your CSA file is not corrupted or virus-infected, get the file again and scan it with Google's virustotal.com.
- Click here to open your .CSA file online - secure, fast, and no downloads needed.
