What is an SPD file

SPD files mostly belong to SPSS Statistics by IBM. The SPD file extension is used for different types of files:

Adobe: SPD file extension is used by Adobe for their PostScript line of products. These files include different settings and instructions used in Adobe's PostScript range of printers. The initial characters of a file are called signature, sometimes also referred to as "magic bytes". The signature can be used to infer the file format.
