What is an AT3 file

AT3 files mostly belong to ATRAC3plus Decoder. AT3 files are audio files that use the RIFF container to hold ATRAC3 compressed audio data.

How can I open an AT3 file?

You need a suitable software like ATRAC3plus Decoder to open an AT3 file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. • 85% of all AT3 files are based on the popular RIFF file format. RIFF files store data in tagged chunks. There are primarily used to store multimedia such as sound and video. The contents of these files cannot be read by a human; only a computer program can interpret the data. A typical file size is 920 KB. This is an old file type which is rarely used today. The keywords fact, WAVEfmt 4, data, RIFF and smpl< are typical for these files. A usual file name is snd0.at3. These files can be linked to music, only, xavoi, menu, shotgun, barrel, level, residential, preview, flash, bryb and tune.
• 2% of all AT3 files use the same file format, which can be identified by the letters "A2 00 03 A0 00 00 00 00" at the beginning. If you open these files in a text editor, you will see only illegible characters. The file size is in the range of 3 MB to 4 MB. A usual file name is TRK01.AT3.
