What is a BFX file?

BFX files mostly belong to Bitware FaxView. BitFax encoded fax file is the primary use of many BFX files. They hold fax transmission data in a proprietary format that Bitware FaxView can decode.

How to open a BFX file

You need a suitable software like Bitware FaxView to open a BFX file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your BFX file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a BFX file directly in the browser:.
