What is a CRG file?

CRG files mostly belong to OpenCRG. CRG files serve two main purposes:

Road Surface Description: They store detailed road geometry data. This data supports vehicle simulation by recording aspects like slopes, curves, and surface contours. They conform to the OpenCRG standard. You can learn more on the OpenCRG webpage.
Choregraphe Project Files: In this role, CRG files hold robot behavior instructions. They are used within the Choregraphe development environment and the internal format is sometimes labeled as LinuxAr. More details are available on the Aldebaran website.

FilExt.com note: The correct software must be used to open these files. For road surface data, specialized vehicle simulation tools are required. For robot behavior, the Choregraphe editor is needed.

How to open CRG files

You need a suitable software like OpenCRG to open a CRG file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your CRG file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a CRG file directly in the browser:.
