How do you open DB4 files?

DB4 file format:

Each file has a definite file format, that is, how the stored data is arranged in the file. The file format can be determined based on the file extension and the signature (the first few characters of a file). If the file extension does not match the file format, double-clicking on the file will cause an error upon opening. The DB4 file extension is used by different programs with different formats. The following file formats are most commonly found in DB4 files:

• 25% of all DB4 files use the popular SQL file format. An SQL file contains a lightweight SQLite database, widely used in application development for storing application related data. The content consists of illegible binary data, which can only be read and interpreted by the associated programs. DB4 files are between 110 KB and 27 MB in size. The file type is old but is used even today. The following keywords are characteristic: SQLite format 3. Examples of file names are static.db4 or BelegManager.db4. Such files sometimes refer to manager, beleg, game and locale.
• 15% of all DB4 files start with the magic bytes ZEP, which are always the first bytes of this file format. The contents of these files cannot be read by a human; only a computer program can interpret the data. The file size is in the range of 730 bytes to 260 KB. The following filename is common: EP_LoadCaseHeader.db4 or EP_CrossSection.db4. These files are attributed to header, section, cross, case, load and material.

The remaining 60% of all DB4 files are files with no common format, frequently e.g. Jopa, pman, xsetup, signup, supp and xclient. They are often associated with headerec, spectrum, scapi, crid, database, reinf, freq or soil.
