What is a PV file?

PV files mostly belong to Prezi. A file with the PV extension does not have a single purpose. It can mean different things, depending on its source. For example, one type of PV file is a Prezi presentation file. These files are actually ZIP archives that package slides, multimedia and motion data. You can open them with Prezi software or via the Prezi website.
Other uses include:

How do you open PV files?

You need a suitable software like Prezi to open a PV file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your PV file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a PV file directly in the browser:. PV file format:

If you can determine the file format, the associated program can also be determined. The file format can be determined based on the file extension and the signature (the first few characters of a file). However, different programs can use the same file extension. Furthermore, a file extension can be renamed incorrectly and double-clicking on it will then display an error when it is opened. The PV file type does not have a uniform file format. The two most popular formats are as follows:

• 15% of all PV files start with the magic bytes 02 1E 15 76 47 FF FF 00, which are always the first bytes of this file format. The content consists of illegible binary data, which can only be read and interpreted by the associated programs. Most of these files are 18 MB to 2 GB in size.
• 10% of all PV files use ZIP compression, i.e. a PV file contains several compressed files. A typical number of included files is 20.
