What is a PV file?

PV files mostly belong to Prezi. A file with the PV extension does not have a single purpose. It can mean different things, depending on its source. For example, one type of PV file is a Prezi presentation file. These files are actually ZIP archives that package slides, multimedia and motion data. You can open them with Prezi software or via the Prezi website.
Other uses include:

TV Recording Files: Created by ProgDVB. They store recorded television programs. You need a media player that works with such recordings. More details are on the ProgDVB website.

Test Reports and Model Parameters: Some PV files store test reports (as used with PV-Wave) or parameters for models such as Leopard. They are specific to the system that created them.

How do you open PV files?

You need a suitable software like Prezi to open a PV file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your PV file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a PV file directly in the browser:. PV file format:

If you can determine the file format, the associated program can also be determined. The file format can be determined based on the file extension and the signature (the first few characters of a file). However, different programs can use the same file extension. Furthermore, a file extension can be renamed incorrectly and double-clicking on it will then display an error when it is opened. So you need a detailed analysis of a file to find out the format and the associated program. Below you will find our evaluation of the PV files:

The PV file type does not have a uniform file format. The two most popular formats are as follows:

• 10% of all PV files internally use the ZIP format, i.e. a PV file contains several compressed files. Most often they are 1 to 30 compressed files. Common included file names are manifest.json, version.txt, \assets\1.jpg, \assets\1.keg, \assets\1.png, \assets\1.swf and \mediaAssets\assetRegistry.db. You can see the included files and images by renaming the file extension to .zip and then double-clicking it. Most of these files are 26 KB to 6 MB in size. The files contain the following words: document. Files like these are about prezi, and usually contain person-related data.
• 10% of all PV files have the same signature 02 1E 15 76 47 FF FF 00. These files are binary files, so they do not contain text, but only cryptic characters. PV files can be up to 8 GB in size, but are often around 18 MB - 2 GB.
