What is an OL file?

OL files mostly belong to Hammer by Valve. Files with OL file extension are mainly used to store prefabs and object layouts in games (e.g. Half-Life) that use Source game engine. The OL file is created using Hammer, an editor for mapping objects and textures. Hammer prefabs can be found as a collection of code objects, brushes, and objects stored in separate OL files located in the "prefabs" directory.
