What is a PSH file?

PSH files mostly belong to Home Design by Punch. PSH filename extension is mainly used to store slide shows created with ProShow, a Windows-based software for creating expert-level slide shows. The PSH file contains slideshow configuration, effects, transitions, and links to images, videos, and audio tracks used in a slideshow. PSH filename extension is also associated with technical drawings created with Home Design, a CAD software for architectural design. The file may reference data pertaining to shaders, meshes, configuration, and the geometry data used to create a 3D or 2D home design. The flash file shipped with firmware updates for some Lexmark printers is also stored in a PSH file. The file is typically compressed alongside other firmware update data in an EXE file (self-extracting archive).

How to open PSH files

You need a suitable software like Home Design to open a PSH file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your PSH file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a PSH file directly in the browser:. • 6% of all PSH files use the same file format, which can be identified by the letters "ps.1." at the beginning. These files are not plain text files, so they also contain binary data. PSH files are between 57 bytes and 410 bytes in size.
