What is a VCF file?

VCF files mostly belong to Contacts App. VCF files store contact details in a standard text format known as a vCard.

How to open VCF files

You need a suitable software like Contacts App to open a VCF file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
