What is a BLK file?

BLK files mostly belong to War Thunder by Gaijin. A BLK file is a block attribute extraction template used by AutoCAD computer-aided design software. A block attribute template contains information on what parts of a 2D/3D drawing are shared/published to DWF, DWFX, or PDF format. A different BLK file stores a block library containing materials, geometry, and lights exported from Lightscape, a radiosity renderer integrated into 3DS Max animation/modeling software. BLK is also the filename extension of an area template which FineReader document reader/scanner uses to define what area of a document to capture/save. This feature is useful when scanning multiple documents with the same layout.

How can I open a BLK file?

You need a suitable software like War Thunder to open a BLK file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
