BLK file format:
If you know the file format, you can also find out how to open or edit the file. Often, the file format can be deduced from the file extension or the initial bytes (called the signature). However, different programs can use the same file extension, and file extensions can be assigned incorrectly. So you need a detailed analysis of a file to find out the format and the associated program. Below you will find our evaluation of the BLK files:
You will often come across the BLK file type. This includes different formats for the applicable programs. The file formats most commonly found in BLK files are:
- 40% of all BLK files start with the bytes blk, which are crucial for this file format. These files contain neither text nor words, but only data. The files are on average 3 MB in size and range from 3 KB to 8 MB. This file type is new and state-of-the-art. 00033726.blk or 00004159.blk is a typical file name.
- 6% of all BLK files use the same file format, which can be identified by the letters "name:t="user"" at the beginning. If you open these files in a text editor, you can view and read the content yourself. BLK files can be up to 1 KB in size, but are often around 150 bytes - 540 bytes. The keywords from, name:t="user", replace_tex{ and camo are typical for these files. These files are attributed to germ, ussr, pzkpfw and ausf.
The remaining 54% of all BLK files are different files with different signatures, often, for example, Quilt block, XML, clientBitType, selected, BBF, crosshairHorVertSize and version. Files like these are sometimes linked to setup, roeform, payment, export, level, sight or bulk. If you want to find out which format your BLK file belongs to, just click on the button "Choose your .blk file to view this image".
