What is an S19 file?

S19 files mostly belong to CodeWarrior by NXP. An S19 file is a program saved in the S-record (SREC) format developed by Motorola. The contents of this file are saved as 16-bit address records and machine code compiled from source code written in Assembly or C programming language. An S19 program is mainly used to setup the flash memory (EEPROM) of microcontrollers. CodeWarrior embedded software development environment can be used to compile an S19 file.

How to open S19 files

You need a suitable software like CodeWarrior from NXP to open an S19 file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
